WHY THE 3? ABOUT ME

I was named after both my grandma’s, Barbara Lee (left) and Barbara Hoffman (right).
Both of them have been a great inspiration to me throughout my life. Barbara Lee is a sailor who has gone on great adventures such as open ocean trips to the Galápagos Islands and Alaska. Barbara Hoffman on the other hand had many adventures herself, including being a nurse in China for several years.
However, besides their accomplishments, more importantly these are two amazing women that have taught me how to be myself, and be a great person. They helped shape me into who I am today.
This is why I put the '3' in my title, Barb 3 Films.
To all the Barb's out there, rock on:)
Unfortunately, I am no longer a blissful bouncing baby, and this is now what I look like. >>>
More about me:
I grew up in the PNW, greater Seattle area. My family is awesome, and I love them a lot. I'm infatuated with cats like the rest of the internet, and my career goals are just to keep having fun creating ideas I'm curious and passionate about when I can.
I started my journey in film by making silly movies as a kid with my friends. My first projects were music videos to Weird Al Yankovic tracks. From there on the my curiosity snowballed, and soon enough I was attending local film festivals and applying to film making college programs.
Going forward I got to be a part of amazing film festivals such as NFFTY and SIFF.
After graduating with a Film Studies degree from Seattle University, now I work full time at an awesome production company called SHEP Films, known for their indie sci-fi production called Prospect (2018) starring Pedro Pascal and Sophie Thatcher.
